The Mercey Disc Golf Association Welcomes You!

The Mercey Disc Golf course was started in the fall of 2004 by MHS webmaster, Geoff Alman and MDGA President, Steve Shelton. This page will be updated on a regular basis so everyone who visits will get the most out of their Mercey disc golf course experience.

Just the facts, ma'am...

This is a private course and a $15 day use fee is required which includes access to the swimming pool and outdoor hot tub... there's no separate fee for "just" the disc golf course, so make it a whole day or part of your overnight camping fun! Our 9 hole disc golf course has just been upgraded to a pole-hole course (see pic below)... the next phase of the project: Basket Installation! Here's the course map.

Hole #2's new pole on the course.

Tips for a good round of disc golf at Mercey:

Mercey doesn't have poison oak or disc-swallowing water hazards (like a few northern California courses I won't mention), but there are some of nature's realities to keep in mind: It's hot and dry here, so bring plenty of drinking water. If you're playing in late spring, summer or fall, you'll definitely want ANKLE GAITERS to protect against burrs and foxtails. We also suggest hiking boots and long pants... maybe even a pair of "throw-away" socks if the foxtails and burrs get tiresome.

The best aspect of any disc golf course is that it incorporates the existing landscape without having to alter it, unlike traditional golf courses which require expensive "landscape architects" to create fairways and sand traps. The challenges that Mercey's natural landscape presents for skilled players combined with open fairway drives for beginners makes for a great course. Additionally, the atmosphere you can relax in between games is hard to find at your local public course.

Thanks for checking out this page and we hope to see you out on the course!
